Oak Glen Apple season is in full swing according to the Oak Glen Apple Grower’s President, Devon Riley. “It’s a good crop”. For a day trip, beautiful Oak Glen is the perfect getaway. Fresh picked apples, fresh cider and hot apple pies, caramel apples, jams and jellies are available throughout the glen from Labor Day through Thanksgiving. The U-pick apples have started early and are expected to be available until mid-October at all 3 U-pick orchards.” More than 60 varieties grow in the crisp mile high climate in Oak Glen. Visitors coming to Oak Glen can also enjoy picnicking, nature walks, picking berries and pumpkins and purchase a variety of locally grown produce.
In addition, Oak Glen offers something for the entire family. You can enjoy a hayride, country music, an animal park or petting zoo. Oak Glen offers art galleries, a Bed and Breakfast, shops, restaurants and bakeries with plenty of tasty apple treats. How about a haunting adventure through a huge corn maze; or a visit to Oak Glen’s historic one-room schoolhouse and museum?
Businesses are open seven days a week through September, October and November. Thanksgiving weekend (Fri. – Sun. Nov. 25-27) Oak Glen celebrates its 8th Annual Apple Butter Festival.
