yogitoes®  has a Chakra Collection of  SKIDLESS® towels that are sure to appeal to any yogi practitioner. “Chakra’ is a Sanskrit word meaning “wheels of light” and signifies one of seven basic centers in the body. Chakras are centers of distribution of energy throughout the body. Each Chakra is structured uniquely to receive and transmit the particular qualities of energy which are necessary for the area of functioning governed by the Chakra. It is through yoga practice that one can open the blocked chakras.  The yogitoes® Chakra Collection includes the colors of the seven Chakras.

 Chakra Seven: Sahasrara, which means 1000 pedaled lotus, is thought to be an energy center for thought, universal identity and inner wisdom. This is the crown chakra, represented by the color white and relates to consciousness as pure awareness.  When developed, this chakra brings us knowledge, understanding, spiritual connection and bliss.

Chakra Six: Ajna, which is represented by a lotus with two petals, is thought to be the energy center for light, identity and self-reflection. The chakra is known as the third eye center, represented by the color violet/purple and relates to the act of seeing, both physically and intuitively. When developed, this chakra allows us to have visual consciousness with clarity on an intuitive level.

Chakra Five: Vishudda is represented as a silver crescent within a white circle crescent within a white circle, with 16 light or pale blue petals and is thought to be the energy center for sound, and self-expression. This chakra is located in the throat and relates to communication and creativity. When developed this chakra allows us to have fluent thought thereby allowing clear communication and a sense of security.

Chakra Four: Anahata is symbolized by circular flower with twelve green pedals and is thought to be the energy center air, social identity and self-acceptance. The chakra is called the heart chakra and is related to love and is the integrator of opposites in the in the essence: mind and body, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity. When developed the heart chakra allow us to love unconditionally for the self and others, feel compassion, and have a deep sense of peace and centeredness.

Chakra Three: Manipura is symbolized by a downward pointing triangle with 10 petals. This chakra is located in the abdominal area, known as the Solar Plexus Chakra, and is represented by the color yellow. This chakra is related to our metabolism, personal power, fear, anxiety, opinion formation, introversion, and transition from simple or base emotions to complex.  When developed this chakra brings us energy, effectiveness, spontaneity and personal power.

Chakra Two: Swadhisthana is symbolized by a white lotus within which is a crescent moon, with six vermillion, or orange pedals. This chakra area of the located in the abdomen, lower back and sexual organs is known as the Sacral Chakra. This chakra is related relationships, violence, addictions, basic emotional needs and pleasure, emotions, sexuality and reproduction.  When developed brings creativity, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment and the ability to accept change.

Chakra One: Muladhara or root chakra is symbolized by a yellow square, with 4 red pedals. This chakra area is located at the base of the spine and is the chakra that forms our foundation.
