The Things That May Cause a Call for Drywall Repair There are some things that may necessitate a need to call the drywall repair contractor. For example, when you have a flooding issue from your washing machine, especially if it is on the second floor of your home, you may find that you need to call in a repairman to repair the damaged drywall. Another case when you may need to call in someone is when you had an accident in the home that has put a large hole in the drywall. A prime example of this would be when kids are rough housing, as most moms call it, and they end up slamming into the wall and putting a hole right through it. Another possible cause for the drywall crew coming out to make a repair in your home might be because of damage caused by mice. No matter what the cause, if they are coming to your home it is not a good day.
The Best Un-drywall Repair Ever
Most of the time when a hole is made in the wall it is time to call out the repair specialist to repair the drywall. However, one of the best things I have ever seen was when drywall was not exactly repaired in a conventional way. It was in the home of a family that was heavily involved in soccer. They loved soccer. They were constantly playing soccer, including in the house. Most moms would cringe at this, but not this mom or this family. However, one day a ball went flying down the stairs and put a hole in the drywall at the place where the stairs turned. Rather than repair this hole from the soccer ball, the family framed it with a frame and clear glass and laid sticker letters on the glass, around the hole showing through the glass, Gooooaaaalll! Talk about the best ever un-drywall repair! Unfortunately, that is not something that can be done all the time.
A New Wall Once Again
Once the drywall repair contractor has come over to the home and made the repairs it becomes a new wall once again. Of course it needs to be painted and made to blend in and match the rest of the wall or ceiling, but it is nice to have the damage repaired and ready to be painted. It is a good feeling when a home feels new once again.
