Now that you are engaged and a wedding date has been set it's time to start the planning process. Every Bride has an idea of what they want to look like on their wedding day. My first piece of advice to new brides is to go to a Bridal Salon and try on several styles of gowns, don't pass it over because it doesn’t look good on the hanger (not may hangers wear gowns well). The reason being is what the mind eye sees is not necessarily what will work with your body type. Know that the model wearing the gown in the magazine was hand-picked for her body type and height to wear that certain dress. Be open-minded and remember how it feels to be wearing something that makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. Take people with you who will be open and honest with you. Do some research on your body type ie: do you have a pear shape, wedge, or hourglass, are you broad shouldered or do your shoulders slope. I know it seems like allot to consider but for every body type there is a way to conceal or flatter your figure. You want to pull the eye to your assets, if your pear shaped you want to define your small waist and not your hips, so pull the eye up by wearing something strapless or ruffles to even out your proportions, you could also choose an A-line skirt. If you have a rectangular shape where your proportions are all similar you want to stay away from anything that will overwhelm you. Wear styles that will give the illusion of curves like ruffles or a sweet heart neckline. You will know it when you see it, you will get that lift in your heart that lets you know this dress is the one for you. Let me end with the most important thing of all "HAVE FUN"
