This place has a nice atmosphere, but the food is mediocre. The price is through the roof also. I have only eaten here once and I do not care to return. (more)

Maybe I just had a bad experience here, but I have to tell you; the food here was horrendous. Combine that with overpriced, over-sweetened drinks; and you have a pretty uneventful evening.... (more)

WOW,,,, DROVE 40 MILES BASED ON ON-LINE REVIEWS ONLY TO BE MET BY A RESTAURANT THAT SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS. THE FOOD WAS TASTELESS AND INEDIBLE. THE GOOD REVIEWS MUST HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BY BAHOOKA FAMILY MEMBERS...... (more)

Drinks were great, exotic and the place was atmospheric. Good place to take a date or just hang out with some friends. A good amount of people, but not crowded and enough background "talk" from other people, but not... (more)

Went here for the first time on a first date. The atmosphere is so charming, quiet, and dark! Perfect for a first date. We shared a bowl for 2, called the Firefly. It was yummy and had us a little tipsy afterwards! The food... (more)

I have been patronizing this establishment since I was too young to drink up until now when I'm too old to drink. That covers about 35 yrs or so and I still get the feeling of being somewhere cool and very far away evertime... (more)

It's quiet, peaceful, relaxing, and even romantic. I have taken my share of dates there. I don't live in the neighborhood anymore, but I still stop by when I can. They are well known for their ribs and I'm never... (more)

If you are looking for a gourmet meal... or even a good meal, go elsewhere. But if you are looking for an evening of fishgazing and a bowl of alcohol, this is just your spot. More of an experience than a restaurant, but... (more)

Ahoy matey and welcome to Bahookas. This a great place for dates and large groups alike. While the menu isn't big (like I'm used to at other establishments), the food and portions are great. Word to the wise: DON'T EAT... (more)

There is a menu disparity; plenty of drink variety, no food variety. Food served in healthy portions, I would not recommend any soup or chowder, though. The draws here are the drinks and the fishtanks.... (more)

In Short
This is the kind of out-of-the-way place where you'd expect to run into Gilligan and Spongebob sharing a flaming scorpion bowl in one of the nautical nooks at this sprawling Rosemead spot.... (more)

Fear and Loathing at The BAHOOKA! I love this place! It is one of the last remaining Tiki restaurants in CA. Mediocre food at best, so dinner is out of the question. I had what was supposed to be salmon-yet, tasted... (more)

The food at this joint isn't outstanding, as a matter of fact it's a bit greasy, depending on what you order...The 2 reasons to visit Bahooka's; the drinks and atmosphere. Drinks are stiff, and about average in price,... (more)

The nautical-meets-junkyard decor and the 1-to-1 aquarium ratio just barely make up for the lackluster tropical cocktails. Still, it's worth a stop for a glimpse at the outlandish setting, but don't even bother... (more)
