Business Description
Vet's 4 Vet's Recovery is dedicated to serving each and every veteran in their own recovery, no matter what it may be. Whether the individual be an alcoholic, substance user, or that of mental illness, we are recovered veterans in support of recovering veterans. Each of us have our own individual phases of recovery whether it be that of self, family, home, education, job and/or spirit. We each have needs of differing manners. Therefore Vet's 4 Vet's will inspire to offer the means or resources in order to better ease ones dedication in their recovery. It is veterans from recovery helping and supporting veterans in recovery. Our motto, ?With the path once taken, it is then that one is able to help guide those starting on and through another's journey?, says it all. My this be your path and we be your guide. Safe journey my fellow veterans.
Personal Priorities to Recovery (PPR) Guide
Through the PPR Program you will work towards providing yourself with recovery-oriented and personal-centered responsibilities. As a veteran in recovery your goal is to give yourself the hope, optimism, personal choice as well as empowerment, independence, and self worth that you will need in order to move forward in your recovery. Personal Priorities to Recovery or PPR?s are the key areas that each individual in a recovery environment are faced with. In re-learning or brushing up on these key areas, one will find in their personal recovery the important part in which PPR?s play towards a successful recovery. Not only with realizing and becoming aware of issues and having a greater understanding of how they play an important part, but also how to maintain a balanced and rewarding lifestyle of living with an addiction/mental disease.
Keeping in mind that each of these PPR?s may not apply to each individual's recovery, but it is recommended that they be reviewed and considered or reconsidered. It is a common habit that individuals in recovery assume they don?t like or even need something even though we have not tried it or put forth the effort toward accepting it; e.g.: The child that hates spinach but has never tasted it, or the alcoholic that would not attend A.A. meetings, but never tried going or even gave it a chance to work. It is also discouraged to allow stigmas to get in the way of your recovery progress. Remember, negative thoughts besets negative actions and/or results!
Throughout these PPR?s will be highlighted words or phrases to guide you to find further information to learn more in order to benefit you in your recovery. For further questions, suggestions, or comments, please feel free to contact Vet?s 4 Vet?s by using the provided box on the home page.
