Message from the Business

Spanakopita, baked stuffed calamari, and chicken al Sugo are some of the traditional dishes offered in this comfortable, casual Duluth restaurant.
In 1947 Italian born Arcito Castellucci married Sophia Zavanlagos, a girl from Sparta, Greece. As you may have guessed, dinner was an event at the Castellucci household. Rather than decide between the cuisines, they decided to blend both cultures together, creating authentic dishes that represented the best of both worlds. The oldest son, Frederic II, studied the art of these recipes and once he had perfected them, Sugo was created. Not only did Frederick II learn the secret to making mouthwatering dishes, but he learned the value of a dollar. And as you will see from our menu, he carried that over to his customers. So allow our family to make your evening special with our authentic cuisine and gracious hospitality. We would love to have the opportunity to host you and your family and let you see what happens when an Italian marries a Greek.

This is a great place so don't let the suburbian location fool you. It is romantic, though somewhat loud when it's crowded. The food is great, I had the Pork Tenderloin Paladar which was perfectly cooked, moist and... (more)

Everyone I knew had raved about this place, so I'm not sure whether it was just what we ordered--but while everything was fine, it wasn't mind-blowing. The large numbers of noisy kids didn't help the experience.... (more)

This place is a little tucked away around the back of the strip mall, but that is actually a good thing in this case.. Once inside, it doesn't feel like you are in a strip mall! Perfect for a date night for the Italian food... (more)
