Fresh, natural ingredients used for best taste, texture and moistness. Wheat-free cupcakes and cakes uses a mixture of 5 different non-wheat based flours to produce a cupcake with a fine texture and crumb, much like wheat based cakes. Careful preparations for our wheat free products include using dedicated sifters, clean utensils, measuring cups and spoons. Common ingredients such as baking soda, salt and baking powder are in 'wheat-free dedicated' containers to eliminate cross contamination. Wheat-free products are baked in the morning when kitchen has been cleaned and countertops wiped down with disposable cleaning wipes. All baking equipment is run through a high-temperature dishwasher. Vegan cupcakes are baked with as much organic ingredients as possible, such as organic coconut oils, natural flavorings, organic flour, organic fruits and vegetables, organic sugars, and non-aluminum baking powders. Non-hydrogenated shortenings are used for the frostings and in baking to reduce as much trans fats as possible. Sugar and Spice's goal is to have a moist, tender and light cakes and cupcakes with natural flavorings. Classic cakes and cupcakes are made with real butter, rich cream, and Bob's Red Mill's pastry flour! How can you beat that. Sugar and Spice does not use prepackaged products, such as frostings or fillings on our cakes. Everything, including compotes, syrups, or caramel sauce is homemade. Some artificial colorings are used for specific recipes, but the goal is to eliminate as much artificial ingredients as possible. These methods used for our Wheat-free, Vegan and Classic cakes and cupcakes helps insure a quality product that is 'delectably' delicious!

Free use of a 200 cupcake tower with order. Each cupcake and cake is carefully protected so transportation to the event is less stressful. For your convenience, delivery and set-up is available for a small charge.

Made to order, affordable on-line custom bakery featuring 'scratch'-made Vegan, Wheat-Free or Classic cupcakes and cakes. Many different choices available for your cake or cupcakes to be a "one of a kind" creation.
Flavors: Choose from your standard flavors of vanilla and chocolate to classic flavors of Red Velvet or Lemon to unique flavors of Lavender Lemon to Spice Pear. Many flavors are available for you to try. New recipes are tested weekly, but only a few find a home with Sugar and Spice CupCakes- after changes of course! Seasonal fruits and vegetables are carefully chosen for lip-smacking fresh fruit frostings, drizzles, cakes and cupcakes.
Sizes: Anywhere from small round six inch cakes to large sheet cakes. Our goal is to meet the size you need. If you are inviting over 300, or having a small, intimate gathering of 15, we can accommodate each need.
Shapes: Square, hexagon, round, topsy turvy, petal, pillow, paisley, rectangle, etc! Look on the website for new cake and cupcake designs and shapes added weekly.

Sugar and Spice CupCakes brings 35 years of baking experience to provide you with the best tasting cakes and cupcakes. Many of my customers state, "These are the best cupcakes I have ever eaten." I attended Milwaukie Farmer's market as a vendor in May and had many returning customers, claiming "I am the best." Each batch of cupcakes, fillings, and frostings are quality tested before they are ready to be sold. Sugar and Spice is a "from scratch" bakery so each product is quality tested. Sugar and Spice will not sell a product that does not measure up to our high standards! Those standards include a fine crumb, moistness, excellent taste, size, frosting, and decoration. Standards for our Vegan and Wheat-free products are under the same scrutiny. Each recipe is tested and re-tested to meet our high standards. Sugar and Spice adds new cupcake and cake flavors monthly as well as new cake designs. We feature using both fondant and buttercream in decorating our cakes. Fondant tends to lend to more detailed decorations with more exquisite details and colorings. Many methods are used to make flowers and designs both beautiful and unique.
