In 1962, General Fire Service was founded in Martin, TN by volunteer firefighter Raymond Lamb. Today the company is run by Raymond's grandson, Doug Jackson, also a volunteer firefighter. General Fire Service is now based in La Grange, TN and is licensed by the state of Tennessee to provide extinguisher sales and installation, as well as monthly/annual inspections, recharging, Six-year testing and Hydro testing.
