The Living-Hinge is a flexible, rechargeable, energy efficient and recyclable battery panel that is designed to fit between the rack and cabinet shell of a primary 170/2070 33X series traffic cabinet. The Living-Hinge is currently available in a 300 Watt and 500 Watt panel, with the ability to connect multiple panels to the inverter/controller to fulfill your required run times. The 170 Inverter/Controller is 19'' EIA Rack mountable, intelligent two stage battery backup device compatible with the Living-Hinge and NEMA battery panels. The NEMA UPStealth Battery Panel is designed to set on top or installed underneath the NEMA cabinet shelf. In addition, the battery panel is 19'' EIA Rack mountable. The NEMA version comes in a 500 Watt design, with the ability to connect multiple panels to the inverter/controller to fulfill your required run times. The NEMA Inverter/Controller is a shelf mount, intelligent two stage battery backup device compatible with the Living-Hinge and NEMA battery panels.

Blue Earth EPS has fulfilled its original mission by developing and manufacturing the next generation in energy power solutions. Our patent pending UPStealth is the lead-acid free, energy efficient, intelligent digital battery backup management system designed to power signalized intersections during loss of utility power.
UPStealth is designed as an alternative to lead-acid battery backup systems, enabling Blue Earth EPS, to provide its customers with an environmentally friendly product that is completely recyclable with no issues of hazardous out-gassing, corrosion, flammable or explosive characteristics.
Today in the traffic industry, City Agencies and Department of Transportations who maintain Battery Backup Systems (BBS) for traffic cabinets face continuous problems when using the industry standard lead acid batteries to power their traffic cabinets in the case of utility failure. The lead acid batteries used for BBS and other UPS systems throughout the traffic industry are large, heavy, and contain dangerous chemicals, which can damage interior components of the traffic cabinet and require special handling prior to disposal. Lead acid BBS need costly routine maintenance 2-3 times per year and if the maintenance is neglected, agencies are expose to potential liabilities and diminished backup runtime performance. A costly factor to lead acid BBS is that there is limited or no space available for installing a lead acid BBS inside the primary traffic cabinet. Because of this, City Agencies and Department of Transportations are forced to pay for an expensive external enclosure or piggy-back cabinet to house the needed lead acid batteries.
Other applications include: services for data centers, oil and natural gas wells, remote cell towers, risk management services, and demand response systems to decrease energy usage during peak load pricing periods charged by utilities.
